Singapore, 21 August 2018－Anacle Systems Limited (“Anacle”), together with its joint venture partner, Enjoytown (Hangzhou) Holdings (“Enjoytown”), signed a strategic agreement with the Hangzhou City Xiaoshan District Guali Town People’s Government at Singapore- Zhejiang Economic and Trade Council (“SZETC”) Conference.
The agreement will see Anacle roll out its smart town solutions across the Zhejiang pilot smart town, Guali in the “One Hall, One Park, One Town” venture, which includes developing an integrated big data platform for the government.
In line with the “Open Innovation, Sharing Opportunities” theme of the Conference, the roundtable discussion at the Conference focused on the three key issues sustainable urban development, oil trading and maritime logistic, where government representatives and business delegates led by Ms. Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry of Singapore and Mr. Yuan Jiajun, Governor and Deputy Communist Party Secretary of Zhejiang province had in-depth discussions on topics such as financial connectivity, legal and professional services.
Since 2012, the Chinese Central Government has been piloting national smart city development to encourage use of the latest technology, such as artificial intelligence and Internet of Things. It is estimated that China will account for 50% of the smart cities in Asia, generating US$320 billion for the nation’s economy by 2025. Currently, China homes more than 500 smart city pilots, and Hangzhou is one of the top five smart cities domestically.

Following the roundtable discussion, Mr. Yuan Jiajun led his Zhejiang delegates on a visit to Anacle Office located at Sandcrawler, where he was introduced to Anacle’s technology innovations, including the latest smart energy meter capable of energy disaggregation, the Tesseract.
